Introduction

Montmartre Cemetery is one of the three major cemeteries in Paris, France, located in the 18th arrondissement. In the early 19th century, new cemeteries were established outside the capital to replace the old cemeteries in Paris, including Montmartre Cemetery in the north, Père Lachaise Cemetery in the east, Passy Cemetery in the west, and Montparnasse Cemetery in the south. Many artists who lived and worked in the Montmartre area are buried here, making the cemetery a famous tourist attraction that attracts numerous visitors. The most famous grave is that of the legendary actress Dalida, whose grave is adorned with a life-size statue. Each year, many visitors come to pay their respects to Dalida and bring flowers.
