Introduction

The palace was originally the residence of the King of Saxony, constructed in the style of the New Renaissance. It remained the residence of the king until 1918. After the war, the palace was undergoing reconstruction, and the Grünes Gewölbe (Green Vault) has been restored and is definitely worth a visit.
