Introduction

Munich's Nymphenburg Palace is home to three museums, including the Museum of Man and Nature, the Royal Carriages Museum, and the Porcelain Museum. The Museum of Man and Nature showcases the history of the Earth, biological evolution, human physiology, and environmental themes through modern and interactive displays. The Royal Carriages Museum is on par with the carriage museums in Vienna and Lisbon, housing a collection of luxurious carriages, sledges, and equestrian equipment from different periods in Bavaria. Nymphenburg Palace is also an important center for German court porcelain, and the Porcelain Museum displays ceramic artworks produced since the establishment of the Nymphenburg Palace porcelain workshop in 1761.
