Introduction

There is a famous Baroque-style Catholic church in the center of Warsaw called the Holy Cross Church (Kościół św. Krzyża in Polish). It is located on Krakowskie Przedmieście, the outskirts of Krakow, directly opposite the main campus of the University of Warsaw. It was built in 1682 and completed in 1757. In 1944, it was destroyed but later rebuilt. Nowadays, it is managed by the Pallottine Fathers and is considered one of the most famous Baroque churches in Warsaw.
