Introduction

A small creek valley known for its meandering streams is located on the east side of Maokong Tea Area. Maokong is famous for producing Tie Guan Yin tea, and tourists can enjoy authentic Maokong tea at outdoor tea houses or garden tea shops. The Maokong Station area also has attractions such as the Water Dance Scenic Platform and Camphor Tree Trail, which are worth a visit.

Opening hours
Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00 to 21:00, Friday and the day before national holidays from 9:00 to 22:00, weekends and national holidays from 8:30 to 22:00, and the last day of weekends and national holidays from 8:30 to 21:00. Monday is the day for maintenance and is closed all day, and the business hours will be postponed if falls on a national holiday.
Transportation
The cable car route goes from the west side of Taipei Zoo to the Maokong area, with a total length of 4.03 kilometers and 4 stations: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station. Each car can accommodate 6-8 people and takes about 20 minutes to reach the mountaintop. The cable car operates from 9am daily except for Mondays when it is closed.
