Introduction

Rabin Square is located in front of Tel Aviv City Hall, originally named Kings of Israel Square, it's not a large area. On November 4, 1995, former Israeli Prime Minister Rabin participated in a peace rally here, tragically assassinated by Jewish extremist Yigal Amir when leaving the venue. Rabin's death brought deep sorrow to the Israeli people, and the government decided to rename the square as Rabin Square to commemorate his dedication. Every year on November 4th, thousands of people gather here, lighting candles and offering flowers to remember the Israeli Prime Minister who sacrificed his life for peace in the Middle East.
