Introduction
Sankei-en Park is one of the most popular city parks in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The park has beautiful scenery and numerous cultural attractions, such as the battleship Mikasa, the bronze statue of Heihachiro Togo, an open-air theater, and a musical fountain. In addition to being a beloved park for the Japanese, it also attracts an increasing number of tourists. The park is adorned with various plants and overlooks Yokosuka Harbor, offering picturesque views. The battleship Mikasa is the highlight of the park and a favorite among visitors. This British-built ship, constructed in 1900 by Vickers Armstrong, measures 122 meters in length, 23 meters in width, and 13.2 meters in depth, with a displacement of 15,140 tons. It was one of the battleships of the Imperial Japanese Navy and played a crucial role as the flagship of the Combined Fleet in the Russo-Japanese War, demonstrating Japan's naval power. It is now preserved in the park, allowing visitors to explore the deck and interior of the ship. The musical fountain in the park is also a popular attraction. It offers 6 to 7 shows daily, featuring a variety of performances. Accompanied by music, the fountain continuously changes shape, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.
