Introduction

These two sculptures located on Batumi Boulevard in the Black Sea have attracted many people's attention. The two sculptures are named "Ali & Nino" after the protagonists in the novel of the same name. The story tells of a tragic history where an Azerbaijani Muslim boy and a Georgian Christian girl were separated by the government at the time. Every day, these two sculptures go through a cycle of inseparability and re-connection, which is truly moving.
