Introduction

The establishment of the National Museum of Science at Ueno Park in Tokyo is aimed at popularizing knowledge of natural sciences and promoting social education through activities such as scientific and other natural science and applied research, investigation, collection, and preservation. As a comprehensive science museum, the museum holds a wide range of books and materials related to natural sciences and their applications. In June 2008, the main building was designated as an important cultural property, and some of its collections were designated as national important cultural properties.

: Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00, on Fridays the closing time is extended to 20:00 (last admission is 30 minutes before closing)
closed on Mondays (if it falls on a statutory holiday, it will be postponed to the next day) and from December 28th to January 1st.
Transportation
After leaving Ueno Station on the JR line, take the "Park Exit" and walk for about 5 minutes.
