Introduction

Tsukiji Hongan-ji is a Jodo Shinshu Hongan-ji temple located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, Japan. Its principal image is Amida Buddha, and it was founded by Junnyo. It is one of the main temples in Tokyo, as well as a branch temple of Nishi Hongan-ji in Kyoto. Its full name is "Jodo Shinshu Hongan-ji-ha Hongan-ji Tsukiji Betsuin," but it is commonly referred to as Tsukiji Hongan-ji.
