Introduction

A magnificent blend of Chinese, Thai, and Burmese architectural styles, the Sleeping Buddha Temple was built in the 19th century and is known for its exquisite beauty. Inside the temple, lies a 33-meter long reclining Buddha statue, which ranks as the world's third largest. The Buddha statue incorporates elements from all three countries, with a serene and compassionate expression. The eyes and toes adorned with seashells are particularly unique, and the golden-covered body shines brightly, radiating tranquility and dignity. Behind the reclining Buddha, there are also twelve zodiac signs Buddha statues symbolizing good fortune. The temple also houses several ash towers, resembling the eighteen arhats in Chinese tradition, but with their own distinctive style, making it a sight worth seeing.
