Introduction
Heishan Great Canyon Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level scenic spot and provincial scenic spot, located in the middle of Taihang Mountain in Pingshan County, Hebei Province, near Wutaishan in Shanxi Province, with an average altitude of 1300 meters. The scenic area has a service area, a cultural landscape area, a Longtan Feipu area, a natural primitive forest area, a main peak outdoor adventure area, Fusheng Temple, Muke Village, Yuniu Peak, and Chaichaituo Peak and more than 60 scenic spots, with a total area of about 17 square kilometers. The mountains are high and the valleys are deep in the scenic area, with strange rocks everywhere. The main peak Chaichaituo is 1910 meters above sea level, majestic and extremely dangerous. There are thousands of plant species, and wild kiwi trees have a hundred-year-old age. Mountain flowers and exotic grasses such as azaleas, roses, lilacs, and golden lotuses are all over the mountains. More than 50 kinds of Chinese medicinal materials such as Huangcen, Daihuang, Jiegeng, Dangshen, Zhuli, Chaihu, Shengma, Changzhong, and Chuanshanlong are also grown. In addition, there are more than 20 kinds of animals in the scenic area, such as rabbits, goats, roe deer, ferret cats, pheasants, and orioles. The water resources in the scenic area are abundant. The mountain spring gushes out from 1800 meters above sea level and flows for more than 10 miles, forming countless pools, waterfalls, and rapids. The Bai Long waterfall is more than 100 meters high and extremely spectacular.
