Introduction

Longmen Stone Village Scenic Area is the widest volcanic plateau in the area. 280,000 to 340,000 years ago, when Longmen volcano erupted, magma spewed out forming the Stone Sea Square. The accumulation of boulders resembled the collapsed walls of an ancient city, hence the name "Longmen Stone Village". Unlike the volcanic rocks of the Stone Sea, the stones at Longmen Stone Pool are smooth and round. Aside from the vast plateau, the dense forest in the spring and summer also brings infinite comfort.
