Introduction

Shapotou Tourist Area is located on the southeastern edge of the Tengger Desert in Ningxia. The unique combination of natural and cultural landscapes here has been praised by tourism experts as the world's unique tourism resource. The scenic area features magnificent scenery of the northwestern landscapes, including desert, the Yellow River, mountains, and oases, as well as the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan. It also preserves world cultural heritages like the ancient Great Wall in the Warring States Qin Dynasty. Shapotou was also one of the filming locations for the TV show "Dad, Where Are We Going?", and tourists can experience the fun of filming in the interactive parent-child area and filming base within the scenic area. The unique S-shaped geographical landscape of Shapotou is similar to the Chinese Yin-yang Taiji diagram, which has been hailed as a world wonder by the famous National Geographic magazine in the United States.
