Jingtai Yellow River Stone Forest Scenic Tourist Area
Huanghe Stone Forest Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Jingtai County, Baiyin City. It is adjacent to Longwan Village in Zhongquan Township. The scenic area covers an area of about 10 square kilometers. The landscape of the scenic area is beautiful, the environment is quiet, the air is fresh, and the scenery is picturesque. It is the most characteristic part of the ancient stone forest group. The stone forest landscape in the scenic area is closely related to the winding mountains and rivers of the Yellow River, showing the charm of a natural large garden. Huanghe Stone Forest Tourist Area, located in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Tengger Desert, generally has a pattern of high southwest and low middle. Beautiful natural landscapes can be seen here: the Yellow River, stone forest, desert, Gobi, oasis, farmhouses, and other resources are integrated together, as well as cultural landmarks such as Panlong Cave and Qingliang Temple.
Yongtai Turtle City
Yongtai Turtle City, located 27 kilometers southwest of Jingtai County in Gansu Province, is named after its ancient castle resembling a golden turtle. The city was built in the 36th year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The city measures over 1700 meters in circumference, with walls standing 12 meters high and a foundation thickness of 5 meters. The city has an oval shape and is surrounded by crescent-shaped city towers. The south-facing city gates are situated outside the city wall, and the west-leaning city towers resemble a turtle's head. The city is surrounded by a defensive moat, approximately 6 meters wide and 1 to 2.5 meters deep, serving as a military barrier and defense fortification of significant strategic importance during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The city housed military personnel and was also the ancestral home of General Yue Zhongqi during the Qing Dynasty. Currently, there is a primary school called "Yongtai Primary School" built in the third year of the Republic of China. It is a blend of Chinese and Western Gothic architecture and is a county-level cultural heritage site.
Silver Yellow River Wetland Park
Address: 492 Township Road, Baiyin District, Baiyin City. Currently, Baiyin Yellow River Wetland Park is a AAA-rated tourist attraction, located within the Huanghe River Wetland Protected Area in Shuichuan Town. It extends to the Huapichuan Village Pumping Station water intake in the east, borders Binhe Road in the south, connects to the Power Plant Road in the west, and is linked to the Jinfeng-Jiangjiawan Township Road in the north. The planned area is approximately 3,000 acres. This area is a natural wetland formed after years of erosion by the Yellow River, with a length of 1440 meters from east to west, a width of 920 meters from north to south, an average water depth of 2 meters, 1.8 meters higher than the surface of the Yellow River, with crisscrossing canals and dense reeds. It is an ideal habitat for plateau fish and waterfowl, attracting a large number of precious bird species to nest here each year, forming a harmonious natural ecosystem.
Hasi Mountain Nature Reserve
Located in the northern part of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, the Hasi Mountain Forest Scenic Area is a forest park that serves as a natural reserve and tourist attraction. It is 140 kilometers away from Baiyin City, 50 kilometers away from Pingchuan, and 80 kilometers away from Jingyuan County. The scenic area consists of three natural reserve areas: the Hasi Temple, Taihe Mountain, and Xueshan Temple. It is known for its ancient trees, flowing springs, and diverse wildlife, representing the typical desert landscape of the northwest region. To the east of Dagouhuai Mountain is Xueshan, which is covered in snow all year round and known as the "Snow Ridge with Silver." The scenic area also features cultural attractions such as Xueshan Temple, the Ming Great Wall and beacon towers, and Han and Tang tombs. It is a tourist destination that combines ancient tranquility, leisure, and entertainment.
Tiaoshan Farm Tourist Area
Tiaoshan Farm is located in the western part of Jingtai County, Baiyin City. It is a 3A-level scenic spot. The farm is surrounded by endless acres of orchards, with colorful apple trees, pear trees, and apricot trees. It presents different colors with the changing seasons, like a rainbow of musical notes, providing a visual feast for tourists.
