It is worth mentioning that the Thai navy is responsible for setting up buoys at each dive point and anchoring area for vessels to dock, strictly controlling anchoring behavior to protect the coral and other marine life. National parks do not have formal transportation tools. Generally, tourists will directly find agents in popular beaches such as Patong, Karon, and Kata on Phuket Island to book 1-3 day tours to the Similan Islands.
