Mariposa Grove, Majestic Sequoias: A Walk Through Time

Mariposa Grove, California 93623, USA
4.5

Introduction

The Mariposa Valley means "butterfly" in English, but here it refers to a Native American tribe, not the insect. There are many trees with diverse shapes and interesting names, such as the Bachelor and Three Graces trees, which look like a group of young and playful people. The Faithful Couple grows together, symbolizing true love and loyalty. The Grizzly Giant and Tunnel Tree are two enormous trees showcasing the grandeur of the sequoias. The Clark tree is named after the earliest explorers, reminding us of their protection and development of the area. In addition to this, the southern part of Yosemite National Park is connected to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park. These are natural conservation areas with academic research value greater than tourist value. If you're interested in geology and biology, visiting here will surely be rewarding.
