Introduction

Maya Bay, also known as Lover's Beach, is located on the west coast of Koh Phi Phi island. As part of the Phi Phi Island National Park, it gained fame after being featured in the Hollywood movie "The Beach" in 2000. The water of Maya Bay is crystal clear and the beach is white and delicate, making it the perfect setting for many classic images of Koh Phi Phi. However, unlike other tropical seas, this area has no coral and it's rare to see tropical fish. Therefore, Maya Bay is best for swimming and taking photos.
