Introduction

Skadarlija pedestrian street is a great place to visit when exploring 19th-century Belgrade. Located not far from Republic Square, this alley is filled with Bohemian romantic atmosphere and perfectly preserved the appearance of the second half of the 19th century. The street is not long, and on both sides are traditional Serbian restaurants, such as Tri Še šir, Dva Jelena, and other hundred-year-old restaurants. In the evening, there are also traditional band performances, and retro-dressed waiters greet guests at the door. Walking on the uneven cobblestoned road, it feels like time is flowing backwards, giving people a unique feeling.
