Introduction

The Columbia Icefield is a glacier located on the Canadian Rockies, spanning the Continental Divide in North America with an area of 325 square kilometers. There are six major glaciers on the icefield, with the Athabasca Glacier showing significant melting since 1844. You can choose to take a specially designed "Ice Explorer" bus to explore the Athabasca Glacier, or take a helicopter to view the entire icefield. Regardless of which option you choose, you will be able to marvel at the magnificent natural scenery.
