Introduction

Towns are scattered within the natural reserve, so the best way to travel is by driving or taking a local tour. Public transportation is available by taking the LER bus from Avignon to Digne-les-bains, which takes about 3.5 hours and costs 15.6 euros. During July and August, there is a daily SUMIAN bus from Marseille that passes through several towns in the gorge, taking about 3 hours and costing 22.4 euros.
