Introduction

This temple is one of the oldest temples in Singapore, built by early Indian immigrants who came to work in Singapore and has typical features of Hindu temples. The goddess Kali is worshipped here, Kali is the goddess who presides over slaughter and destruction, but in the minds of early Indian immigrants, she symbolized a sense of security in a foreign land. Currently, the temple has become one of the important tourist attractions in Singapore.
