Introduction

Lin Zexu, was "the first one with broad vision in modern China." The Lin Zexu Memorial Hall is located on Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro and was originally a temple dedicated to Lin Zexu. This classical-style garden building now serves as an exhibition hall showcasing the life of Lin Zexu. The exhibition is divided into different parts, including Lin Zexu's life, the Opium War, disaster relief and water conservancy efforts, his global perspective, and his handwriting, telling the story of his love for his country and his concern for the people. In addition, there are three granite steles inside the exhibition hall, including an imperial edict, an imperial memorial inscription, and an imperial stele, all granted by the emperor after Lin Zexu's death and added to the temple at the time of its construction.
