Beaches worth visiting around Shenzhen

Every time someone asks me, "Where should I go to have fun in Shenzhen?" I always say, "Go to the beach!" Here, we have the longest coastline along the Guangdong coast, adjacent to Daya Bay. Whether it's summer or winter, there are sunny beaches and the sea, as well as endless gourmet seafood waiting for you to come and enjoy!

Xichong | Eastern "Hawaii"

Xichong Beach, also known as "Xichong Beach," is located at the southern end of Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen, China. It is known as the "Oriental Hawaii" and is considered one of China's top eight beaches by National Geographic. With its clear blue waters, lush mountains, and pristine environment, Xichong Beach offers a perfect getaway for relaxation and various outdoor activities such as beach games, leisurely walks, water sports, barbecues, and even real-life CS battles.

East Rush | Naturally Undecorated

The eastern beach (also known as "Dongchong Beach") at the southernmost tip of the Dapeng Peninsula in southeastern Shenzhen is a seaside sanctuary that has not yet undergone large-scale development. Compared to Xichong, it is less commercialized and has a more "primitive" beauty. The sea here is very blue and clear, the sand is soft, the sea caves are large and intact, and the scenery is serene. When you enter here, you will feel as if you have entered a secluded paradise, with white sand, blue water, the sea and sky in the same color, and a gentle breeze that makes you want to embrace the blue sea and sky in front of you. In addition, the hike through Dongxi Chong is the most beautiful and classic coastal hiking route in Shenzhen. Many outdoor enthusiasts come here to watch the waves crashing against the rocks, feel the sea breeze, and experience a different kind of love for the ocean.

Red Paijiao | Red coastal rocks

They say that the most beautiful beach among the many beaches on Dapeng Peninsula is at Hongpaijiao. Located at the eastern end of Shenzhen on Dapeng Bay, Hongpaijiao faces Huizhou Daya Bay across the sea. What makes it special is the diverse shapes of the coastal rocks, which are reddish in color, hence the name "Hongpaijiao". This stretch is also the most beautiful coastline in Shenzhen, perfect for hiking. As you walk along this coastline, the rocks become more colorful, and the scenery along the way is stunning. You can admire the fishing boats on the distant sea, listen to the sounds of the waves, and enjoy the fresh sea breeze as you walk along.

Yangmei Pit | The Most Beautiful Gorge Beach

Located in Daya Bay, Yangmeikeng is known as the "most beautiful valley in Shenzhen". It has many undeveloped beaches. Here, you can see the sparkling blue sea, feel the fresh sea breeze, and take a romantic stroll with your loved one. In addition, you can ride a yacht, rent a fishing boat, or go mountain hiking here. It's worth mentioning that there is a cycling path here, considered to be the most romantic coastal leisure path on Dapeng Peninsula. Along the way, there is the sea on one side and the green mountains on the other. Riding a tandem bike with your partner, enjoying the splashing waves and listening to the sound of the sea, you can feel truly carefree and relaxed. Perhaps because of its beauty, it has become a popular spot for wedding photos, and it is also one of the shooting locations for Stephen Chow's movie "The Mermaid".

Dameisha Beach | Shenzhen's "Pattaya"

Compared with other beaches, Dameisha is a relatively developed public beach. Although there are more tourists, the sand is soft and the sea is beautiful. The overall feel of the beach is similar to Pattaya Beach in Thailand. The park's facilities and water sports are very complete. There are various amusement projects such as jet skiing, parasailing, and beach volleyball. If you are a water sports enthusiast, don't miss out on this place! You can have a blast and try out everything at once!

Xia Chong | Huizhou "Maldives"

Xiaochong, located in Huizhou and adjacent to Shenzhen, faces Hong Kong across the sea. Here is a very beautiful bay with a three-kilometer-long, winding golden coastline. Here, you can see crystal-clear water, fine and soft white sand. The entire beach is like an unadorned treasure, amazingly beautiful. In addition, here, you can enjoy activities such as riding motorcycles on the beach, smashing golden eggs, and having barbecue BBQ.
