Lingyan Mountain, located 15 kilometers southwest of Suzhou City, with an altitude of 220 meters, is a mountain overlooking Taihu Lake. The temple is built on the mountain peak, facing south, offering a beautiful view of the scenery of Taihu Lake. There are many huge rocks on the mountain that resemble ganoderma lucidum in shape, so it is named Lingyan Mountain. The main buildings of the temple include the Maitreya Pavilion, the Daxiong Baodian and the Chanting Hall, all built along the central axis. On the east and west sides, there are also long corridors running through the whole mountain. There are buildings such as the Duobao Pagoda, the Zhiji Hall and the Xiangguang Hall in the east, while the west is mainly a garden. The Duobao Pagoda is the most distinctive building, 34 meters high, consisting of seven levels and eight sides, in the style of a pavilion. The pagoda was built in the second year of Tianjian in the Liang Dynasty (AD 503) and was rebuilt in the seventeenth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1147). The Duobao Pagoda we see now was rebuilt according to the original appearance of the Song Dynasty. Adres near No. 53, Lingtian Road, Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province
