Introduzione

The total construction area of the new library is 100,000 square meters, with a collection of 3.82 million volumes of documents. It provides 4,000 reading seats and 500 computers for readers. There are 4,000 nodes for wired network and wireless network coverage of 100% of the area. The entire library area realizes integrated services of collection, borrowing, reading, and consultation. The design concept of the new library is "beautiful books," fully utilizing the landscape of the new central axis of the city and highlighting the characteristics of architectural design through the appropriate use of tower buildings and "z" shaped structures in the east-west and north-south directions. It showcases a rich architectural design with the integration of Lingnan cultural elements, expressing the accumulation of historical and cultural heritage and the symbolic overlap of books. The architectural design also incorporates the elements of arcade culture, showcasing the architectural artistic style of the Lingnan region.
