Introduzione

Fangta Park is located in the southeastern corner of Songjiang District, adjacent to Songjiang Second Middle School. The park was built in 1981 and covers an area of about 180 acres. The garden design revolves around the Fangta tower, which is arranged in a harmonious and spacious manner, integrating modern garden construction concepts with Jiangnan classical garden styles. The main attractions in Fangta Park are the Fangta tower and Ming Dynasty cultural relics. The unique and exquisite shape of the Fangta tower is a treasure among ancient buildings in the southern part of China and one of the best preserved ancient towers in the country. Originally the site was the bustling center of Guting in ancient times. In 1978, the park was built around the Fangta tower, and there are also other attractions such as Wangxian Bridge from the Song Dynasty, brick carvings from the Ming Dynasty, Lanrui Hall, and water and land pools. The brick carving is a large-scale relief, built in the third year of the Ming Dynasty's Hongwu reign (1370 AD), and is well-preserved, featuring the image of a "greedy" monster, aiming to teach people to refrain from greed. The ancient buildings and cultural relics in the park evoke nostalgia and admiration, and can be regarded as artistic treasures.
