In direzione est si trova il parco nazionale Yosemite, a nord ci sono le piste da sci del Lago Tahoe (città che ha ospitato i Giochi Olimpici invernali, il lago più alto e con un paesaggio mozzafiato) e a sud-est si arriva a Las Vegas. Tornando indietro verso ovest si arriva al Deserto di Death Valley, poi a San Francisco. Se avete tempo, potete visitare il Grand Canyon e altre località come Antelope Canyon partendo da Las Vegas.
