Medicines that you use regularly, including any that are prescription-only, should be carried in your hand luggage, as long as they are properly labelled and in their original packaging. You should also have a letter from your doctor or pharmacist that explains what the medicine is, why you need it and how much you should take. If you are unsure, contact the Italian embassy or consulate in your country for advice ?
