Introducción

Zhenxian is a historic and cultural town with a prosperous history and many great works left by literati. Among them, the "Eight Scenic Spots of Zhen Lake" is poetic and picturesque, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. Zhenxian boat shows its rich folk customs and ranks first in the world. In addition, Liu Zhuangyuan's former residence in Mianqiaotou Town, Hunan province, claims to be "the old site of the seventeen erudite archers and horsemen, with a history of five hundred years of clothing and crown". The three brothers of Liu's family won two martial arts champions in the Qing Qianlong period and are still being talked about today. The ancient town of Zhenxian was originally called Qintong. Because it was surrounded by water, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty noticed that the word "tong" had the meaning of "water", so he added three dots of water to the word "Qin". This made the name of Zhenxian more closely linked to water. In the mid-Qing dynasty, agriculture, fisheries, and kilns in Zhenxian were booming, becoming a must-pass place for transportation such as canal and salt transportation. With the increasing population and numerous shops, Zhenxian became a famous water town market town. From the 1920s to the beginning of the War of Resistance against Japan, the grain trade in Zhenxian was very prosperous, and industries such as rice mills and oil mills were continuously developing. Business such as tea houses, restaurants, and bathhouses have also emerged, and new communication tools such as electric lights, telephones, telegraphs, and newspapers have appeared. Today, Zhenxian has become a key town in China and a well-known historic town. Its unique culture and style attract a large number of tourists to visit.
