Zhenxian is a historic and cultural town with a prosperous history and many great works left by literati. From the 1920s to the beginning of the War of Resistance against Japan, the grain trade in Zhenxian was very prosperous, and industries such as rice mills and oil mills were continuously developing. Business such as tea houses, restaurants, and bathhouses have also emerged, and new communication tools such as electric lights, telephones, telegraphs, and newspapers have appeared.
