The area of closure of the first highway has not increased significantly, and everyone is still following the previous detour plan. I would like to share the detour plan for the Big Sur. Starting from Monterey, go south, pass Carmel in ten minutes, and consider visiting Point Lobs. Continue south for another twenty minutes, and the Bixby Creek Bridge is a landmark. Take pictures and turn around to drive on Salinas to US 101, and continue driving to Paso Robles. If you have time, you can go west to Ragged Point, Hearst Castle, and Elephant Seal Beach. If you don't have time, you can detour to Morrobay, and then it's San Luis Obispo. Pismo Beach also has hotels, and I have stayed there before, sleeping with three big chimneys. Then it's San Maria. The hotel here is the cheapest in the surrounding area. There are also hotels to stay in Lompoc to the south, because it is close to Vandenberg Air Force Base. The rest of the itinerary is well-known, such as Danish Village Santa Barbara. Special note: Pfeiffer Beach is closed, do not go.

El puente de Creek en la carretera 1 está abierto al tráfico, pero el Big Sur permanece cerrado debido a un deslizamiento de tierra.
