Introduction

The planning and development of Hamilton Gardens is different from traditional botanical gardens, as they focus on the relationship between people and plants. The garden has five main theme collections, covering an area of 58 hectares. The Paradise Garden Collection includes gardens from China, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, and Italy, and each garden has a unique style and theme. The Landscape Garden Collection includes the Blastacreek Flat, the Hamilton East Cemetery, the Echo Bank Bush, and the Valley Walkway. These gardens make full use of the existing natural landscape and showcase different understandings of the ideal landscape throughout history. The Productive Garden Collection includes practical gardens such as the herb garden, the fruit and vegetable garden, and the eco-home garden. The Cultivar Garden Collection introduces many specially chosen plants such as the rose garden, camellia garden, rhododendron garden, and Victorian-era garden. The most dreamy is the Fantasy Garden, which showcases boundless imagination and creativity, and highlights the themes of "fragrance" and "time".
