The room and furnishings are very exquisite.

Cecilienhof Palace is located at the northern end of New Garden Park. It was built by Crown Prince Frederick William, the eldest son of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and his wife Duchess Cecile as their residence. The palace gained fame as the venue for the Potsdam Conference from July 17 to August 2, 1945. During this conference, US President Truman, British Prime Minister Churchill, and Soviet leader Stalin held meetings here. They also jointly issued the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945, which determined the terms of "unconditional surrender" for Japan.
