Introduction

Yasukuni Shrine is a shrine located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, dedicated to honoring soldiers and military families who sacrificed themselves for Japan since the Meiji Restoration. Its enshrined deities include 14 Class-A war criminals. Due to this, the shrine is controversial among East Asian countries and seen as a symbol of Japanese militarism.
