Introduction

Midtown is a multi-functional complex with 54 floors above ground and 5 floors underground, reaching a height of 248 meters. It includes shopping, hotels, art galleries, and office areas, making it a new landmark in Tokyo that has surpassed the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building as the tallest building. In the 2007 redevelopment, Midtown focused on the theme of "design" and introduced well-known design-led art galleries such as 21_21 Design Sight and Suntory Museum of Art, becoming a representative of modern art and design in Tokyo. Additionally, Midtown's prime location adjacent to the National Art Center has gradually made it the center of contemporary art and design in Tokyo.
