The mural on the top of the pavilion is worth seeing.
Next to it is the Santuario del Santo Niño Church.
Good, because the area was once colonized by Spain, and most people there are Catholics! Having faith is a blessing!

Introduction

On April 14, 1521, Magellan arrived in Cebu and erected a cross on the beach, signifying the colonization of these islands by the Spanish king. Today, the cross is housed in a hexagonal pavilion in the Plaza Sugbo. To protect this historically significant symbol, an empty cross made of Philippine mahogany was built to cover the original cross.
