Introduction

This temple can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty, and the current building was rebuilt on the site of the royal temple "Jingpiao Temple" of the ancient Dali Kingdom. The temple is located on a hillside and adopts the architectural style of Southeast Asian temples and Buddha statues, fully showcasing the history and traditional culture of Theravada Buddhism. On the square in front of the Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas, tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Jinghong City, or participate in Buddhist activities in the temple to learn about Buddhist culture. During festivals, the Dali King himself will come to the temple to hold a large-scale Dharma assembly to commemorate his beloved consort and promote Buddhism.
