Introduction

The Gospel of John was born in the early years of AD, and it is believed that it was written based on a saint's witness. It records the life and teachings of Christ, and Saint John once lived here and was buried here. In order to commemorate the saint and his work, in the 6th century, the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian built the magnificent Basilica of Saint John on the site of Saint John's tomb. It has become a sacred place for Christianity.
