Perito Moreno Glacier
Activity 1: Walkway sightseeing, the walkway runs through the national park, allowing visitors to view the glacier from different heights and angles; Activity 2: Boat sightseeing, one of the more leisurely ways to experience the glacier, similar to an Antarctic travel experience, with options for Perito Moreno Glacier and Upsala Glacier; Activity 3: Glacier trekking, divided into Mini Trekking and Big Ice, both operated by Hielo&Aventura, not including the national park entrance fee, but including about 1 hour of guided walkway sightseeing.
Upsala Glacier
After the Upsala Glacier collapses, large ice chunks fall into Lake Argentino, forming unique shapes and displaying mysterious shades of light blue. The scene is primitive, silent, pure, and beautiful, captivating anyone who sees it! The only two ways to get a close view of Upsala are by boat or kayak, allowing you to immerse yourself in the picturesque scenery, with every step offering a new view.
Lake Argentino
The lake's water color is greatly influenced by its source, which comes from glacial meltwater. In areas with a high powder content, the lake water appears gray-green, while in areas with less powder, the water is deep blue (the powder comes from the friction between ice and the valley bedrock). The lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and various shapes of ice fragments stand in the lake, reflecting a deep blue color, making everything seem as if time has stood still. A one-day boat tour including the Upsala Glacier and Spegazzini Glacier is the best way to explore Lake Argentino.
