The Outskirt of Paradise for Adventurers: Unveiling Chongqing Wulong

For thousands of years, Wulong has been regarded as a paradise on earth, but it was not well-known due to its geographical environment. It officially entered people's field of vision with the release of "Curse of the Golden Flower," a film directed by Zhang Yimou, and later gained worldwide attention as one of the filming locations for "Transformers: Age of Extinction." This sparked a wave of tourism in Wulong. So how do you make the most of your visit to Wulong? Let me explain it to you one by one!

Longshuixia Fissure Scenic Area

Longshuixia Fissure Scenic Area is associated with the Three Natural Bridges Scenic Area. Generally, after touring the Three Natural Bridges Scenic Area, visitors take the scenic area bus to the Fissure Scenic Area. However, it is important to note that there are two routes in the Fissure Scenic Area: one goes to the fissure, and the other returns to the visitor center. Taking the wrong direction can delay your trip. The Fissure Scenic Area is 5 kilometers long with no obstacles. It is a valley 200-500 meters deep, formed by typical karst landforms. The combination of high mountains, steep peaks, gorges, and flowing water creates a perfect landscape painting. The entire tourist route is downhill, which is less tiring than climbing uphill but can be hard on the knees. The ground is very slippery, so non-slip shoes are a must. At the entrance of the scenic area, many people sell local snacks and handicrafts. It is recommended to try the cooked sausages, which are reasonably priced and taste good. There is also a hot air balloon nearby, but it is tethered with a rope and only goes up and down without flying far. The cost is relatively high.

Furong Cave in Wulong, Chongqing

'Furong Cave' is a large karst cave with a tour route of 1846 meters inside. The stalactites are illuminated with colorful lights, creating a spectacular and dreamy atmosphere, making it a unique place for photography. Fairy Mountain National Forest Park

The main attraction is touring by car. The ticket price for the small train is 25 yuan per person. The first stop is the prairie. In summer, you can go grass skiing on the Fairy Mountain prairie, and in winter, you can go skiing. The second stop is the racecourse, mainly for horseback riding. Many people choose not to get off and return directly to the terminal. If you have good physical strength and are not in a hurry, you can choose to walk around. A 30-minute walk will take you to the prairie, and this 30-minute journey traverses the entire forest. Since most people choose to take the small train, there are few walkers, making it feel peaceful and serene. It's wonderful.

Tiankeng Village Scenic Area

Address: Mingxing Group, Mingxing Village, Xiannvshan Town, Wulong County, Chongqing City. Tiankeng Village was originally an isolated paradise, shrouded in mist all year round, creating an ethereal fairyland. The Miao and Tujia indigenous people lived here in seclusion, leading a traditional life of 'working at sunrise, resting at sunset, drinking from wells, eating from fields, men farming and women weaving.' However, due to the filming of the reality TV show 'Where Are We Going, Dad?' at this location, it has gained significant fame, attracting many fans to visit. Since the scenic area has only been developed in recent years, there are no direct buses, and visitors need to arrange their own transportation.
