Einführung
The King's Path, located in Malaga, is a 7.7-kilometer mountain trail that starts in Ardales and ends in El Chorro (in Álora). It is also one of the most dangerous trails in the world. The path was initially built in 1901 to provide easy access for workers to the Guadalhorce reservoir. It was named "The King's Path" because it was used by King Alfonso XIII of Spain for the inauguration of the reservoir. The entire trail is built on a steep cliff about 100 meters above the El Chorro River, with the canyon reaching a depth of 300 meters. It was closed in 1999 and 2000 after some unfortunate accidents, but was reopened on March 26, 2015, after renovation work by the government of Malaga. Visitors can now experience a thrilling journey on this path. Adresse Caminito del Rey, 29550 Ardales, Málaga, Spanien
