Einführung
The Pera Museum is a private art museum established in 2005, located in Istanbul, Turkey. The museum's three permanent exhibitions include Anatolian Weights and Measures, Kutahya Tiles and Ceramics, and Oriental Art. The Oriental Art exhibition showcases over 300 paintings, including works by European artists. These artists were inspired by the Ottoman Empire from the 17th to the 19th century and reflected the characteristics of the Turkish empire in their artwork. Osman Hamdi Bey is the most famous artist in the exhibition and is hailed by many art historians as a representative of the "Eastern Indigenous Art" genre. His work "The Tortoise Trainer" is particularly well-known. In addition to exhibitions, the Pera Museum also hosts a wide range of cultural activities. Its facilities include a multifunctional exhibition hall, auditorium, and visitor activity space. The ground floor features an art gift shop and café, as well as a lounge and children's teaching area. Adresse Meşrutiyet Avenue Nr. 65 34443 Tepebaşı Beyoğlu Istanbul
