Ipoh Old Town is located west of the Kinta River in the old town area of Ipoh. It used to be a mining town, and since the early 19th century, many British tin mining companies have established subsidiaries here, making Ipoh increasingly important. At the same time, influential institutions like Standard Chartered Bank, India, Australia and China Limited have also set up offices in Ipoh. Ipoh has developed into one of Malaysia's major cities and has become the second largest administrative capital in Malaysia due to the thriving tin mining industry. Today, tourists can admire many historic buildings, taste authentic white coffee, and visit famous landmarks such as the train station and city hall. In addition, Ipoh Old Town is also popular for its food and murals.

On the old street in Ipoh, Lorong Panglima has a row of two-story old houses, which have a history of over a hundred years. These houses have been chosen as shooting locations for movies such as "Lust, Caution," "The Father and the Son," and "Anna and the King." The huge historical value of this street makes people feel very relaxed. Although these old houses have been dilapidated for a long time, the fading wooden shutters and old exterior walls are still full of historical flavor, attracting many photography enthusiasts. Some of the old dilapidated buildings are still inhabited by people, so please keep quiet when visiting to avoid disturbing the residents.

Kellie's Castle is located 40 kilometers from Ipoh city. Although it is not in the city center, it is a place that tourists can visit when they come to Ipoh. In 1915, William Kellie Smith began planning and building this extraordinary castle. The castle is magnificent, with six floors, Roman-style columns, and Moorish arches. The interior of the castle features grand columns and a luxurious wine cellar, and it even has Malaysia's first elevator.
Despite the extraordinary design and construction, the castle was never completed. After World War I, William ordered the construction of an Indian temple near the castle and a tunnel to connect the two buildings. Unfortunately, before this project could be finished, William passed away and the construction was abandoned.
Over time, the castle became a ruin and rumors of various eerie stories circulated. However, the government eventually cleared the site and opened it to brave visitors. The castle holds many secrets waiting to be explored, and the design of the road adds to its mysterious and romantic allure. Local residents say that despite the many stories of ghosts and evil spirits, the castle has a unique appearance that even Malaysians enjoy visiting and taking photos of during the day.
