Bryggen is a famous attraction in Bergen, listed as one of the world heritage sites. It features a row of colorful Hanseatic League wooden houses, which are the most famous buildings on the waterfront with a history of more than 300 years. Other buildings such as Bellgården, Svensgården, Enhjørningsgården, Bredsgården, Bugården, and Engelgården are also very famous. Especially, Bergen's St. Mary's Church is one of the oldest and tallest buildings. Today, these wooden houses are still used for commercial purposes, rented out to various shops, restaurants, and cafes where tourists can buy souvenirs. Within a few minutes' walk from here, visitors can reach the other side to admire the reflection of the wooden houses in the sea and the verdant Mt. Fløyen.
