Av Paulista, São Paulo, Brazil

Introduction
In 1891, Uruguayan entrepreneur Eugénio Linares and his friends invested in the construction of Paulista Avenue. This 2800-meter-long street has developed into a financial hub where wealth is concentrated in less than a hundred years. Every day, helicopters shuttle between the offices and residences of Brazil's financial elites on top of the Industrial Alliance Building. Like other world-famous financial centers, Sao Paulo's financial street is dotted with towering skyscrapers, and almost all international banks have branches here.
