Introduction
Since 1990, Chilean artist Jorge Selarón has collected colored tiles, pottery pieces, and mirrors from 60 countries to create an outdoor staircase with 250 steps connecting the Lapa and Santa Teresa neighborhoods. This staircase has become a must-visit photography spot for tourists coming to Rio and has been praised by media outlets such as National Geographic and Playboy magazine. Many famous musicians, such as U2 and Snoop Dogg, have come here to shoot music videos.
