Introduction

Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the 1940s to care for injured animals and young animals that have lost their mothers. Some animals are rehabilitated here and returned to the wild. In addition, some endangered species are bred to help with their reproduction. The sanctuary is home to over 200 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles, making it a colorful and diverse zoo for plants and animals.
