Introduction

Cape Cod is located on the hook-shaped peninsula in Barnstable County, southern Massachusetts, United States. It is named after English explorer Gosnold, who loaded a large number of codfish here in 1602. In 1620, the Pilgrims landed at Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod on their way to Plymouth. The peninsula is caused by glaciers and mainly composed of sand, forming large sandy areas, with clusters of grass and sea water left behind after high tide. The autumn and winter seasons are relatively warm, while the spring and summer seasons are relatively cool. In summer, coastal towns and countryside become popular summer resorts and busy fishing ports, such as Barnstable, Bourne, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Hyannis, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet and Woods Hole are densely populated places. Driving on Cape Cod is a very pleasant thing, some places on the peninsula become very narrow, less than two kilometers wide, the east is the vast Atlantic Ocean, and the west is the equally boundless Cape Cod Bay, as if walking on the road to heaven, with magnificent cloud seas on both sides. Whenever you visit, the peninsula is definitely a rare and grand sight.
