Introduction

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university located in Los Angeles, California, USA, also known as UC or UCLA. As one of America's top comprehensive universities, it not only serves as a cradle for business, finance, high-tech industry, and film arts professionals but also offers degrees in 337 different disciplines, making it one of the broadest universities in the US for cultivating cutting-edge talent. The UCLA campus covers 419 acres (about 1.7 square kilometers) and has 163 buildings. It has about 42,000 registered students, including 29,000 undergraduate students and 13,000 graduate students. As one of the most popular universities in America, UCLA is one of the most coveted schools for high school students in America. Founded in 1919, it is the third-oldest campus in the University of California system, and is on par with the University of California, Berkeley in the ranking of public universities in America. At the same time, UCLA is also a member of the University of California system, which has a total of ten campuses and manages three national laboratories of the US Department of Energy. It has 55 Nobel laureates and 357 members of the National Academy of Sciences, accounting for nearly one-fifth of all members.
