Introduction

Rideau Hall, located in Canada, is the residence and office of the Governor General of Canada. It has been in use since 1867. The Governor General is a symbolic head of state appointed by the King or Queen of England. This mansion, built in 1838 in the Victorian architectural style, is modest and humble compared to other state residences such as the White House and Buckingham Palace, but it still exudes an aura of grandeur and elegance. Within Rideau Hall, the Governor General meets with leaders of other countries and holds important national ceremonies, such as presenting the Order of Canada. The main building of Rideau Hall is a three-story light gray structure surrounded by greenery, which creates a lively and peaceful atmosphere. To ensure security, guard changing ceremonies are held every hour. Visitors can schedule a tour of the entrance hall, and during the months of July and August, visitors without appointments can also tour on weekends.

May 2nd to June 26th: Open to visitors without reservation from 10:00 to 16:00 on weekends, and with reservation from 10:00 to 16:00 on weekdays. June 27th to September 7th: Open to visitors without reservation from 10:00 to 16:30 daily. September 8th to October 31st: Open to visitors on weekends from 12:00 to 16:00 and on weekdays from 10:00 to 16:00 with reservation. November to December: Not open to visitors without reservation. Open to visitors with reservation from 10:00 to 16:00 daily.
